Birthday Buddies is a non-profit organization that creates birthday party packages for children of families in need.
We partner with non-profit organization and county and state agencies creating bags specificall tailored to each child.
The birthday party packages contain everything a family will need to make their child's party complete!
Birthday Buddies has two methods of connecting with the families that need our assistance.
- We work directly with state and county agencies, building bags from the information provided on each order form. We are provided enough information so the child will never know that the family didn't actually purchase these presents for them.
- Although we truly love building the bags with a specific child in mind, we also work with food shelves and provide bags for them tohave on hand when families stop in.
The families we are working with have low to no income. We try to make each package appropriate to the child, but we also try to include items that will assist the family. We heard back from one family that the child was excited they received new socks. New socks and toothbrushes are something that we take for granted. They are treats to many of the families.
Listed below are examples of what is supplied in each package:
- A new, unwrapped gift ($10 plus in value)
- Small item "stocking stuffers" such as:
- toothbrushes / toothpaste
- socks
- books
- art supplies
- school supplies
- Gift bags and tissue paper
- Cake mix, frosting and candles
- Plates and napkins
